It is the most complete and authoritative source of information on scale models and kits, ever made in the USSR, Russia, and FSU countries (Illustrated Catalog - Reference Book with Price Guide and Information about Prototypes: all multiplicity of scale models - all manufacturers, all materials, all scales, all types, all eras). The main languages - English and Russian. Now new CDs on scale models made in the USSR, Russia, and FSU countries appeared, but CD SCALE MODELS FROM RUSSIA™ was the very first one and it is still the biggest and the most complete one - now in 4 volumes!

All models and prototypes are sorted by manufacturers/brands of models. Manufacturers/brands are sorted by names and by RMIndexes^® - widely used for Soviet/CIS-made scale models since 1997. Text and image files are named by RMIndexes^®. Big part of the information is available exclusively from this CD. 

Basing on the results of the opinion poll we issue the most "simple" (and therefore cheap) versions of the CD - such that could be used with the most simple PCs, using any popular browser (as e.g. MS Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator) to get the advantage of hypertext files. Those who do not use such programs may use the simplest viewers, etc. 

Information is updated regularly, so new versions of CD are issued regularly too. Newer versions differ seriously from the previous versions - many pictures and texts will be added, but at the same moment some will be removed. We consider every issue of the CD as encyclopedia. Yes, information will be out-of-date soon, but it will not become wrong! In any case EVERY issue (once a year) may be used as encyclopedia of already issued models. Since the cost of CD is not high, one could pay that not big money once a year and to collect them all - and future issues will not contain some pictures from first ones, but new, etc. Those who will buy that CD once and register it, will have really big discount for future issues.

Due to big sizes of files on this CD and special effects used, RELEASE version of this CD is inconvenient for placing on WWW - downloading of one file from RELEASE version may demand dozens of minutes even in the case of high speed modem connection, but it is absolutely friendly for any PC with CD-ROM (and does not use any space at your hard disk). The best result will be obtained with latest versions of e.g. MS Internet Explorer, etc., but CD may be also investigated even with the help of regular common used DOS software. Since some free- or shareware programs are included with this CD - one does not need any additional programs for this CD.
